This website is devoted to public information and education about Interactive Management, a process which enables human beings to work together to resolve complexity. The Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) algorithms
(which are the basis for the many and varied developments of ISM software), and two of the accompanying Interactive Management (IM) methods, were developed by John N. Warfield: specifically the Options Field, and the Options Profile Methods. Also he integrated into the IM component processes contributions from others; e.g., the Nominal Group Technique of Delbecq et al, and the type of Tradeoff Analysis developed for use in the U. S. Forest Service (made available by Bob McDonald), in which qualitative and quantitative considerations are harmonized in an integrated and transparent system for making choices among multi-dimensional possibilities; and for portraying the basis of those choices in a way that is readily-understood by the famous "man on the street".
