Paul Kaiser and Shelley Eshkar are digital
artists whose collaborations combine motion-capture with dance,
sometimes in the form of installations and other times as
projections for the stage. With Merce Cunningham and others,
they have created Hand-drawn Spaces (1998), BIPED
(1999), Loops (2001), and Lifelike (2002-3);
with Bill T. Jones, Ghostcatching (1999). Other works
that use motion-capture to evoke urban worlds include Pedestrian
(2002) and Rivalry (2003). Eshkar and Kaiser's work
has appeared in diverse venues, including Lincoln Center,
MASS MoCA, ZKM, SIGGRAPH and the Kiasma Museum. Their work
has received prominent coverage in such places as The
New York Times, Newsweek, Time, Wired
and ABC-News. For more information, see www.kaiserworks.com
